To use a fluid loss tester in a cementing laboratory, first clean all components and prepare the cement slurry according to the formulation. Then, insert a clean filter disk into the fluid loss cell, pour in the slurry, and seal the cell tightly. Set the temperature and pressure to simulate downhole conditions, start the timer once stabilized, and monitor the process for 30 minutes (standard duration). After the test, measure the filtrate volume, release the pressure, clean and disassemble the equipment, and analyze the results by comparing the measured fluid loss value with the target or standard to evaluate the slurry performance and adjust the formulation if needed.
